COLUMBUS, Ohio—A leading national provider of underground storage tank (UST) system testing and cleaning, US Tank Alliance Inc., has been awarded a contract with the Marathon Oil Corporation and Speedway SuperAmerica’s waste drum transportation and disposal program.
The contract gives US Tank Alliance sole responsibility of drum pickup, transportation and disposal services for Speedway SuperAmerica and Marathon’s pickup locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Speedway SuperAmerica is a subsidiary of Marathon Oil Corporation.
Throughout the terms of the contract, US Tank Alliance will ensure that waste drums are properly handled and disposed of. Marathon’s integrated data system (IDS) will notify US Tank Alliance of stations that need waste drums removed and when and where they can be picked up. Marathon’s IDS also notifies US Tank Alliance of each drum’s hazard level.
Under the agreement, the cost of US Tank Alliance’s waste removal and disposal services will remain at a fixed rate regardless of where drums are picked up or gas price increases.
