Fernando CrosaFernando Crosa

President & CEO

Born in Uruguay, Fernando Crosa grew up in the United States and developed a lifelong passion for achieving the American dream.

From age two through high school graduation, Crosa and his family lived in Manchester, New Hampshire. He later attended Syracuse University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and speech communication and a minor in business administration. He also played on the Orange’s Division I soccer team. After college, he began a career in petroleum product services, specializing in underground storage tank (UST) testing and compliance management services. After a few years with a national petroleum services corporation, he rose to the position of corporate vice president of compliance.

When the company’s future seemed uncertain, Crosa took action by founding his own consultation firm. Three years later, his small business bloomed to become US Tank Alliance, a leading provider of UST testing and compliance management services.

Kathy PasternakKathy Pasternak

Regional Vice President - Midwest

Kathy’s expertise stems from her 26 years in the industry and four years as a US Tank Alliance employee. She has also received API Work Safe and Smith School of Safe Driving Certifications.

Kathy’s responsibilities at US Tank Alliance include managing client requests for emergency and annual state and federal compliance testing and scheduling the field technicians to fulfill these client requests.  She is also US Tank Alliance's focal point for Speedway.  Before moving into the regional vice president - Midwest position, Kathy worked on tank cleanings and divestment testing. 

Mike HankinsMike Hankins

Vice President - Waste Transporting Business Unit

In December 2006, Michael became the waste transportation manager for US Tank Alliance. His primary responsibility is to oversee the removal, transportation and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste material.

Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Purdue University in 1994. 

Mike SeveriniMike Severini

Vice President - Lighting Business Unit

Since February 2007, Michael has been responsible for the lighting unit that provides lighting maintenance services to more than 2,000 service stations in nine states. He ensures that not only are highest customer service standards achieved, but most importantly, that the process is completed in the safest manner possible.

Michael grew up in Patchogue, New York (on Long Island) and attended Suffolk County Community College where he earned an associates degree in criminal justice studies. He continued his education at Syracuse University acquiring a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice studies.

Christy StandifordRamona Brown

Operations Manager

Ramona became a part of US Tank Alliance in May 2013 as a data entry clerk; quickly transitioning to lighting administration followed by managing the fuel quality program. She currently manages the Car Wash and Vac programs in the Waste Division.

Christy StandifordChristy Standiford

Reports Manager

Christy joined US Tank Alliance in April 2007. In her capacity she ensures customer satisfaction by making sure the paper trail on every account is well documented. She manages a seven-person report entry team enters reports (entry time, test reports, etc.) that is key in managing US Tank client paperwork responsibilities.

Miryam CrosaMiryam Crosa

Safety Manager

Miryam is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and healthy work environment for all employees.  She manages US Tank’s safety program, purchases personal protective equipment, and assists with meetings to ensure the company is in compliance with all OSHA and industry specific safety regulations. 

Miryam is originally from Uruguay, South America, where she graduated from medical school with a specialization in optometry and eye surgery.  She attended the School of Safety and Hospital de Clinica in Uruguay and various trainings for safe driving, first aid, and CPR in the United States. Miryam is a certified Smith System Safe Driver Instructor.

David PasternakDavid Pasternak

Quality Control Manager

David has over 24 years experience in tank tightness testing and EPA superfund remediation.  He has a plethora of testing certifications including: US Test Tank Tester, Petro-Tite Line Tester, Acurite Line Tester, Cathodic Protection Tester, and API Work Safe.

David’s role with US Tank Alliance requires him to work with the regional and safety managers on many projects.  He is responsible for training and managing all field technicians to ensure that they comply with company procedures for tank testing and safety precautions. 

Before taking on the quality control manager role in 2003, David was a senior field technician, a role in which he was responsible for testing underground storage tanks, product piping, leak detection systems, and stage II vapor recovery testing.
